Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew stole the show with a thrilling 98th-minute winner, capping Leicester City’s stunning comeback victory over Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium on Saturday.

The Foxes faced a daunting task, trailing 2-0 at halftime courtesy of goals from Cameron Archer and Joe Aribo. However, Leicester’s second-half resurgence began in the 64th minute when Facundo Buonanotte scored, assisted by Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.

Jamie Vardy equalized from the penalty spot in the 74th minute, setting the stage for Ayew’s dramatic winner. The Ghanaian striker met a corner at the near post, securing a 3-2 victory for Leicester.

“It was obviously my first goal for the club in the league, and it took a bit of time, but I believe in myself and my abilities,” Ayew said in a post-match interview. “I know I can contribute a lot, and I’m happy for the fans, for myself, and for my family.”

Ayew’s winner marked his first league goal for Leicester since joining the club in the summer. Fellow Ghanaian Abdul Fatawu Issahaku also impressed, earning the Man of the Match award after providing an assist in just 31 minutes on the pitch.

The victory marks a significant turnaround for Leicester, who struggled early but demonstrated resilience and determination to claim all three points.
